Put us to the Test

Tracking studies of hand hygiene in 2021 and 2022 revealed Australians have not improved their hand washing behaviour. In fact, by comparison the results in 2022 were worse.

The research indicated that only 82% of Australians wash their hands after going to the toilet and only 53% wash their hands before touching food. This would appear to corelate with case numbers of norovirus and hepatitis A, where hand hygiene is highly effective control measure.

Clearly more needs to be done.

This Mini-Course was designed to allow potential new students the opportunity to put our training methods to the test while gaining valuable knowledge to help prevent the spread of germs and diseases.

The Course material has been drawn from the following resources:

  •  Hand Hygiene Australia
  • The Food Standards Code
  • National Health & Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Guidelines
  • The WHO (World Health Organisation)

The Course takes around 20 to 30 minutes and is provided free with no obligation.
